Pancake Paradise was originally created and thought of by Brent Smalley. He met Sam Shelton when he looked outside and noticed that there was someone living in his tree. They became such good friends that Brent pointed out to Sam that the tree across the street would be much more comfortable to live in. He met Robyn Delmage when she was skydiving and her shoot didn't go off. Luckily she bounced off the trampoline in his backyard and then landed on a pile of leaves he always keeps in his back yard for that very reason.

Brent Smalley was originally a stand up comedian (which you can see some of his old jokes here), he had to quit stand up comedy when he forgot how to drive a car and did not have the body strength to canoe to every city. He then decided to pursue his career of becoming a professional remote control race car driver but was banned from the sport for life when he ran out onto the course during the race and repeatedly stomped the competing cars. He then went into a great depression over this.

Robyn and Sam then decided to stage an intervention for Brent and decided to make him pancakes. The intervention went over great especially when they decided to start drinking and doing hardcore drugs! At the end of the night they were all sitting in the bathroom eating pancakes and they all decided this was paradise. They all then decided they would make their own world which they would either decide to build a cartoon or permanently stay on hardcore drugs. They decided to flip a coin to see which one they would do and it flipped to tails which meant they were to start creating Pancake Paradise!
